Hilarious Pharma Spoof Video – Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Posted by Dun Tzu on the September 7th, 2009

Hilarious video… the only thing missing is a catchy trade name.  With a short, simple & catchy trade name Big Pharma make it easy for us (and patients) to remember the trade name, but never the generic (Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin).

I like the fact that Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin can be taken in multiple routes.  I’ve always wondered about some sort of mega-suppository… we could call it the “Protocol Pellet”.  Every discipline and hospital service line could have its own per-rectal bolus of meds – psych, ortho, open heart, CHF, etc.

AED-CPR Week’s Shocking Start – Funny AED-iPod Medical Parody

Posted by Dun Tzu on the May 29th, 2009

AED/CPR Awareness Week is the first week in June. That’s this week. So, I’ve been thinkin’ (yeah… scary…)

What would it look like if Apple teamed up with Google Health and Microsoft Health Vault… and Guidant, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific… and the Red Cross… and your GPS system? (Can’t we just all get along?) Could you imagine the possibilities?

I mean, if you ignore the death of privacy and the possibility of lawyers performing keyword searches through medical records (iSue), it would be pretty cool.

So, in honor of the possibilities, GiggleMed.com has chosen to release it’s iHealth Humor Series during AED-CPR Awareness Week. All week, we’ll show you new iHealth/iPod possibilities… with parody and humor, of course.

If you teach ACLS or work in the ER or as an EMT, you’ll love the fact that these hilarious medical humor designs are available on all kinds of gifts… gifts for the one who has everything.

The Power of Glove

Posted by Dun Tzu on the March 7th, 2009

The power of gloves is a curious thing
Make one doc safe, and another nurse clean
Reduces risk from things you didn’t think of
More than policy, that’s the power of gloves

You don’t want MRSA, or C.diff
Don’t want fluids or a really big whiff
Takes time to wear ‘em. It’s annoying sometimes
But it might just save your life
That’s the power of gloves
That’s the power of gloves

(full audio coming soon… tons of medical humor songs)

Colonoscopies Have Never Been So Funny :)

Posted by Dun Tzu on the October 14th, 2008

No one (at least no one I know) looks forward to having a colonoscopy. But I’ll tell you what… this one is hilarious. Lou Rawls and Damon Wayans in a funny video classic. Combine a heavy, rough-around-the-edges nurse, a disco ball, and a colonoscope. Just the look on Damon Wayans’ face is priceless.

Patients already say some funny things during conscious sedation, what if Lou Rawls was putting you under like this? Imagine the things you’d say.

Possible Names for Medical Musical Groups – Part 1

Posted by Dun Tzu on the October 12th, 2008

What if some popular musicians went to medical school or nursing school? First of all, they would’ve made a lot less money and would’ve had a lot less debt starting out. But that’s beside the point. The real question is… how would a health care background have changed their stage names?

  • Public Enema
  • Grateful Full Codes
  • Pee Dribbly
  • Joan Urojet
  • Counting Colace
  • LL Stool J
  • Hemmie and the Colectomies
  • 50 Cent CoPay
  • Rage Against the Administrators
  • Nine Inch Needles

A tad cheesy, but we have plenty more coming out in Part 2. Got some of your own? Post a comment below (no patient identifiers, no copyrighted material, and we can do with it whatever we want). Or, just let us know your favorite. Post a comment now.
